In this episode, Shaykh Faraz explains the thirty-fifth and thirty-sixth hadiths from the Chapter on Matters That Soften the Heart from the hadith compilation, Mishkat al-Masabih, compiled by Muḥammad ibn Abdullah Khatib al-Tabrizi (d. 741 AH). The thirty-fifth hadith teaches us about the weight and rank of believers who tread lightly in this life, without having any attachments to it. The thirty-sixth hadith relates to us that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was given the choice by God to have the like of the fill of the open flatlands of Makkah in gold, but he refused. He chose to be satiated for one day and hungry for another so that he can call upon Allah when hungry, and express gratitude when he is satiated.
