In this episode of Seekers Complete Qur’an Tafsir, Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat continues his commentary of  Sura al-Baqara; Chapter 2: 21-24. The first command and prohibition in the Qur’an come in these verses. The command came to worship your Lord with the hope of attaining the station of taqwa. Allah Most High gives reasons for this worship and forbids the association of partners with Him. In verse 23, Allah challenges those who doubt the Qur’an to bring even one sura like the Qur’an. No one was able to do this. Allah Most High then warns them, in verse 24, of a fire whose fuel is men and stones is prepared for the disbelievers.
