Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat expounds on the utter arrogance of Bani Isra’il and reminds us to take lessons from their behavior. Allah Most High admonishes Bani Isra’il’s claim that the Hereafter is for them exclusively. If this is so, why do they desire long life and not wish for death and enjoy the pleasures (which they claim) await them? Not only do they criticize the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and his followers, but also God’s chosen angel, Gabriel.
