In these ayat, Allah Most High tells us what happened with the Children of Israel who chose to disobey Him despite witnessing all the clear signs. They rejected His guidance and blessings and, instead, chose the  ‘life’ of this world. Shaykh Abdul-Rahim explains that while there is beauty in this life for everyone – the difference is that the believer uses the blessings to propel himself towards akhirah.
